Principal's Message

Mr Vernon Clark
Principal
As Principal of Kluthuthu Christian College, I am very excited to say that the power of the dream that Mark Howard had in July 2015 to start a Christian College will become a reality on 24 January 2023.
We need to raise $500,000 to make this a reality. Please visit our web page on how to make a tax-deductible donation.
Since the dream there have been seven years of building relationships and negotiation with Indigenous elders and community of Napranum about establishment of this school.
Ironically, in 2005 the existing school had been closed and since then the community desired that it be returned as the need for a school in this area was great. This has culminated in an agreement with the Napranum Aboriginal Shire Council and the commencement of a school registration process with the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board (NSSAB) to open Kluthuthu Christian College on 24 January 2023.
The word Kluthuthu is an Aboriginal word which means "peaceful dove" a unique species found in the area. It is a beautiful name given by the Aboriginal Elders of Napranum and symbolises the founding scripture of the College:
"All your children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their "( Isaiah 54:13)
Kluthuthu will build a cherished culture of trust and respect for the individual, characterised by a strong Christian identity, culture and community to create distinguished leaders. This will be directed and supported to try new initiatives, be creative and critical thinkers, work collaboratively and be young people of Christian character.
The opening of Kluthuthu Christian College on 24 January 2023 will signify a day of hope for the future and the realisation of a dream that will go a long way in developing community leaders for tomorrow.
"All your children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their peace" ( Isaiah 54:13)
