What happened next?

A second trip to Weipa in February 2016 highlighted the fact that Napranum (Weipa South) was the place to which the elders in the dream were calling Mark, as the existing school in the area had been closed in 2005 and there was no plan for any new schools to be opened.

Therefore, the need for a school in Napranum was dire, as students had to take public transport into Weipa, and if they missed their transport, it was next to impossible to attend school.

The vast distance students had to travel to attend school, meant parents were unable to actively participate within the community life of the school.

With 100% support of the Traditional owners , Kluthuthu Christian College was established and registered in April, 2020
